THE PROPOSAL
PROPOSED ERECTION OF A C. 450MW BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE
SYSTEM (BESS) FACILITY AND ASSOCIATED 275KV TRANSFORMER,
INCLUDING SWITCH HOUSES WITH CONTROL ROOMS, STORAGE
CONTAINERS, OFFICER TRAILER, LIGHTING AND CLOSED CIRCUIT TV
COLUMNS, NEW SITE BOUNDARY FENCING AND ALL ASSOCIATED
SITE WORKS.
SITE LOCATION
LANDS IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF NO. 157 BALLYNAKILLY ROAD, BT71
6HG, C. 170 METRES NORTHEAST OF TAMNAMORE SUBSTATION AND
C. 60 METRES WEST OF NO. 167 BALLYNAKILLY ROAD, BT71 6HG.

As part of the Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC), and in line with the latest
planning regulations, a dedicated website for this proposal is available at:

In addition to the in-person public consultation event, this website has the facility for members
of the public to leave feedback on the proposal, and will remain live for comments until
3rd October 2025, 5pm.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to Mid Ulster District Council at this time.
Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is
subsequently submitted to Mid Ulster District Council, normal neighbourhood notification and publicity will be undertaken at that
time and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
