Stevenage – Stopping-up Order on Silam Road

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (East) (No.16) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of a western part width of Silam Road at Stevenage in the Borough of Stevenage. This is to enable development as permitted by Stevenage Borough Council under reference 22/00963/FPM.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/E/S247/6044). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Stevenage Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 21 August 2025.
