Dorset Council (Part of Footpath 46, Okeford Fitzpaine)

Public Path Diversion Order 2025

The above order, made on 08 August 2025 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Footpath 46, Okeford Fitzpaine as shown on the order map as follows:

From the existing path:

The whole width of the footpath from ST 8043 1143 generally north west to ST 8013 1180

(No recorded width)

To the new path:

From its junction with Footpath 44 at point C (ST 8056 1174) north west then generally west north west along the northern side of the field boundary to a tree at point D (ST 8041 1180) then continuing along the field edge generally west, south west then west to a field gate at Point E (ST 8014 1180). Then west to the unaffected part of Footpath 46 (to be renumbered Footpath 70) at point B (ST 8013 1180). Width: 2.5m except at Point D 1.2m.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Alastair Beaven, Definitive Map Team, Spatial Planning, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/P2256), or via email to alastair.beaven@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk

, not later than 18 September 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.

If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
