Underground utility works
JBM Solar Projects 21 Limited has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Highleadon Green Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The proposed works include the permanent installation of a 32mm MDPE water pipe at approximately 1m depth, along a 15m length.
The installation of this pipe will require the temporary erection of safety fencing for the duration of the construction works as a 0.6m wide, 15m long channel is dug, encompassing an area of approximately 10m. The works will be located within the bounds of Highleadon Green a registered area of common land, located within the village of Highleadon, approximately 4.5 miles northwest of Gloucester.
The specific section of Highleadon Green where the works will be located is adjacent to the B4215 next to Highleadon Filling Station.
