Notice of proposed development/works at (a) Little Thorn Edge Farm, Wycoller Road, Trawden. 25/0321/FUL Full: Erection of an agricultural steel portal frame building. The proposal is within the Trawden Forest Conservation Area. (b) Aldi Stores Limited, 1 Crownest Road, Barnoldswick. 25/0423/VAR Variation of Condition: Vary Condition 10 (Delivery Hours) of Planning Permission 16/0410/FUL (Major). The Proposal is a Major Development.
HOUSEHOLDER APPLICATIONS
(c) Higher Park House, Kelbrook Road, Barnoldswick. 25/0530/HHO Full: Erection of a flat roof extension to South Elevation, demolition of stable block and greenhouse and the erection of a new double garage. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. (d) 26 Farrer Street, Nelson. 25/0535/HHO Full: Erection of a single-storey rear extension. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. (e) 317 Barkerhouse Road, Nelson. 25/0514/HHO Full: Erection of a two-storey side extension, part single-storey rear extension, single-storey front porch and widening of existing drive. The proposal is within the Southfield Conservation Area. As these are householder applications, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about these applications will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.

(f) Higher Park House, Kelbrook Road, Barnoldswick. 25/0531/LBC Listed Building Consent: Internal alterations, erection of a flat roof extension to South Elevation, demolition of stable block and greenhouse and the erection of a new double garage. The proposal affects a Listed Building. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 12 September 2025. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 12 September 2025; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (
under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
