What is planned?

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

FOOTPATHS B9 and B8 PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above order was confirmed as unopposed on 8 th August 2025. The effect of the order is to divert the public footpaths B9 and B8 as follows:

The section of path to be extinguished runs generally east for approximately 606 metres to Point J and then generally south for approximately 16 metres to Point K and then generally south-east for approximately 14 metres to Point L.

The new path commences at Point A and will run generally east for approximately 145 metres to Point Q and then generally south-east for approximately 423 metres to Point T and then generally north-east for approximately 42 metres to Point U and then generally east for approximately 90 metres through Point V to Point L. The new path shall have a width of 2 metres.

The section of path to be extinguished runs generally south for approximately 247 metres from Point M to Point O. The new path commences at Point M and will run generally east for approximately 36 metres to Point W and then generally south for approximately 140 metres to Point R approximately 7 metres east, it continues at Point S and then in a generally south direction for approximately 107 metres to Point X. The new path shall have a width of 2 metres.

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Town Hall, Nuneaton from 10.00am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.00.

The order came into force on 27th June 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within six weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by Schedule 14 to that Act.
