Staffordshire Moorlands District Council
has received a planning application for:

TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 –
NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 (3) OF AN APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Application Number: SMD/2024/0423 Applicant: Enso Green Holdings X Limited Proposal: Battery Energy Storage System and substation with associated infrastructure and works

Location: Greenfields, Thorney Edge Road, Bagnall ST9 9LA.

The proposed application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

The proposed development may affect a public right of way.

The proposed development does not accord with the Development Plan.

The application can be viewed online at www.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk and may be inspected in Main Reception, SMDC, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, ST13 6HQ – Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.00pm via our public PC and in hard copy format.

Anyone wishing to comment on the above application/s should use the online comments form, or write to the Manager Development Services, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, ST13 6HQ by 28 August 2025. It should be noted that any representations made about the application will be available for public inspection and copy.

Copies of the Environmental Statement are available from Planning Department, Savills (UK) Limited, 33 Margaret Street, London W1G 0JD. The cost is £300 for a hard copy of the Main ES report, £10 for a Memory Stick.
