PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION NOTICE OF PUBLIC EVENT
Application for a National Development for onshore export cables, onshore substations and associated infrastructure within the vicinity of Peterhead for MarramWind Offshore Windfarm.
MarramWind Ltd intends to apply to Aberdeenshire Council for Planning Permission in Principle for the above proposal. The proposed MarramWind Offshore Windfarm is located between 75-110km offshore and will be connected to landfall on the Aberdeenshire Coast by subsea cables. Onshore cables will then transmit electricity from landfall to onshore substations before connecting to the National Grid via the proposed Scottish and Southern Electricity Network’s (SSEN) Netherton Hub substation to the west of Peterhead.
As part of the pre-application consultation process for the proposed Planning Application, MarramWind Ltd intends to hold a public consultation event. The event will be held at Palace Hotel, Prince Street, Peterhead, AB42 1PL between 2pm and 7pm on 27 August 2025.
Details of the project will be available at the event and representatives of MarramWind Ltd will be present to answer any questions that may arise. Feedback forms will be available at the event and comments on the proposal can be made at the event or submitted by email at

Comments made to MarramWind Ltd are not representations to the Planning Authority. If MarramWind Ltd submits a Planning Application, there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the
Planning Authority.
