Waverley - Propose To Dispose of Open Space Land
What is planned?
NOTICE OF INTENDED DESIGNATION OF OPEN SPACE LAND AS A LOCAL NATURE RESERVE NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that The Borough Council of Waverley (‘’The Council’’) intends to designate Land at Overgone Meadow, Catteshall Meadow and Almshouse Meadow -collectively referred to as The Lammas Lands in the town of Godalming as a Local Nature Reserve. A plan showing the area to be included in the proposed Local Nature Reserve can be inspected during regular opening hours at The Burys, Godalming. A copy of this Notice and the above-mentioned plans are available at: www.waverley. gov.uk/services/planning-and-building
This is a formal notice given insofar as the above parcel of land consists or forms part of an open space within the meaning of the above Section, being used for the purposes of public recreation.
Any objections to the intended disposals must be made in writing and addressed to Claire Beesly, Joint Assistant Director Legal Services & Information Governance, The Burys, Godalming, Surrey GU7 1HR or by email to Claire. beesly@waverley.gov.uk bearing the address above by no later than 22nd August 2025.
All objections received will then be considered by the appropriate officers/members of the Council.
