Notice of Confirmation of an Article 4

Direction Without Immediate Effect: Beccles

NOTICE is hereby given that the Broads Authority have confirmed a non-immediate Article 4 Direction, under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended).

NOW THEREFORE the said Authority in pursuance of the power conferred on them by Article 4(1) AND Schedule 3, paragraphs (1) to (13) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 as amended, hereby direct that the cancellation of the Beccles Conservation Area Article 4 Direction 1997 is confirmed and will come into force on 4 August 2025.

The Direction applies to the following properties in Beccles:

Northgate: 1, 3a, 3b, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37-39, 41 (The Staithe & The Maltings), 43, 45, 47, 47a, 49, 51, 59, 61, 63, 65, 69, 71, 73, Broom Cottage, The Moorings, 1-6 The Tannery, Pope’s Head Cottage

Puddingmoor: 8, 12, 14, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 34, 38, 38a, 40, 42, 44, 48, 50, Flint House, Teleport, Tylers, Vista, Waveney House Hotel, Waveney Valley Boats, Wherry Landings, Arrow Boats Ltd, Lime Kiln House, Meadow View, Pool Craft, Quayside Conservatories, Beccles Swimming Pool

A copy of the Direction, including a map defining the area covered, can be inspected at the Broads Authority’s office at Yare House, 62-64 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1RY.

The Article 4 Direction will come into force on 4 August 2025 and the Beccles Conservation Area Article 4 Direction 1997 will then be cancelled.

Direction Without Immediate Effect: Beccles

NOTICE is hereby given that the Broads Authority have confirmed a non-immediate Article 4 Direction, under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended).

The Direction applies to development falling within the following classes of Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) and removes permitted development rights for this type of development comprised of Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D, Class E, Class F and Class G of Part 1 of Schedule 2; and Class A of Part 2 of Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended). This Direction comes into force on 4 August 2025 and planning permission will be required from the Broads Authority for such works from this date.

The Direction applies to the following properties in Beccles:
