WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE OF DISPOSAL
GRANT OF EASEMENTS/RIGHTS IN RESPECT OF OPEN SPACE
AT LAND ADJOINING KINGS HEATH, NORTHAMPTON
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in pursuance of Section 123(2A) of the Local
Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980) that West Northamptonshire Council intends pursuant to Section 123 of Local Government Act 1972 to dispose by way of the grant of easements/rights in the terms below over the land described in the Schedule to this Notice:
1.1 a right to enter on to the land edged green on the plan to lay, re-configure, construct, amend, replace, improve, upgrade and/or redevelop sports pitches and any ancillary areas and other ancillary works in accordance with planning permission N/2014/1429 (as varied or replaced from time to time) together with a right to alter ground levels;
1.2 a right to construct a surface water drainage outfall, headwall and other required infrastructure and to clear vegetation together with a right to drain surface water into the watercourse adjacent to the boundary shown between the points “A” and “B” on the plan.
2. Any objections to the intended grant of easements must be made in writing and addressed to the Director of Governance (WNC GEN33130)
West Northamptonshire Council, One Angel Square, 4 Angel Street, Northampton, NN1 1ED by no later than 21st August 2025.
3. The plan showing the location of the land that the easements are to be granted over (in green outline) and the locations of the points “A” and “B” as detailed above may be inspected free of charge at the One Stop Shop, The Guildhall, St Giles Square, Northampton from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesdays.
