Notice is hereby given that Energyfarm Allt Domhain Ltd, company registration number 13622663, with its Registered Office at 9 Apollo Park Approach, Thorne Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire, and in the capacity as Applicant, has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Allt Domhain Wind Farm approximately 5.5 km south of Glenfinnan (Central Grid Reference (E217789, N779518)). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be approximately 86.4 MW comprising of up to 9 turbines with a mixed tip height to blade tip height of 200 metres and 230 metres. The proposed development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced.

The Company has also requested a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission be deemed to be granted.

A copy of the application, with a plan showing the land to which it relates, together with a copy of the EIA Report (including the Company’s proposals in more detail and an explanation of how the environmental implications are to be mitigated) and an analysis of the environmental implications, are available for public inspection in person, free of charge, during normal office hours at:

A hard copy of the full application and EIA Report (including a Non-Technical Summary) may be obtained from Energiekontor’s Project Manager Craig Potter (email: craig.potter@energiekontor.com) at a charge of £1,500 plus P&P for hard copy of the EIA or free on USB. Copies of a short Non-Technical Summary are available free of charge.

Any representations on the application may be submitted by email to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, at Econsents_admin@gov.scot or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation.

Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations. Emailed representations should also include the full name and postal address of the sender. Where no full name or postal address is provided, the Scottish Ministers will not consider the representation valid.

All representations should be received not later than Monday 6th September 2025 although the Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

Where the Scottish Ministers are minded to grant consent for the development, they will do so only after consultation with the planning authority to which the application relates, and such other persons as they consider appropriate.

Following examination of the environmental information, the Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:

  • grant the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or

  • reject the proposal
