PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990 – SECTION 67

Proposed Development at Hastings Central Library, 13 Claremont, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 1HE

I give notice that Mrs Clare Rowsell, Business Services Dept. of East Sussex County Council is seeking Listed Building Consent for replacement of external fire escape, replacement rear windows and masonry cleaning at Hastings Library. This development would affect the character and appearance of the following listed building – Hastings Central Library.

Members of the public can view the application on the Hastings Borough Council’s website, East Sussex County Council’s website, or inspect the application, plans and other documents submitted with it by appointment at the offices of the Director, Communities, Economy and Transport Department, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes until the 22 August 2025. Anyone who wishes to make representations about the proposal should do so via the web or in writing to the Director, Communities, Economy and Transport Department, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE by the 22 August 2025, quoting reference number HS/3529/CCLB.
