NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Essex County Council has received a hybrid planning application from Crumps Estates Limited seeking full permission for the importation and deposit of material/waste and the subsequent raising of land levels (retrospective), installation of landfill infrastructure and engineering works to facilitate a satisfactory restoration profile and outline permission for 121 commercial/industrial units and a solar farm at Crumps Farm, Stortford Road, Little Canfield, Essex, CM6 1SR – application reference: ESS/16/24/UTT and ESS/16/24/UTT/0UT.

The proposed development may not accord with the provisions of the Essex and Southend-on-Sea Waste Local Plan (2017) and/or the Uttlesford Local Plan (2005) in force in the area which the land to which the application relates is situated.

Footpaths 8, 12 and 19 (Little Canfield) may also be affected by the proposals.

(Mill Road, Henham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, Henham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 30m south west of its junction with Mill Road Service Road for a distance of approximately 350m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2025 for 21 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP40079438713 – Houlihan & Co Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new bell mouth and footway construction works are undertaken by Houlihan & Co Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Mill Road, Henham Road, B1051, Station Road, Old Mead Road, Hall Road, Church Street, Crow Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
