What is planned?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(NEWHALL ROAD, CHESTER) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

Introduce:

• Newhall Road (both sides) – from the centre of carriageway North for a distance of 11m and south for a distance of 16m.

• Halton Road (both sides) – from the rear of the footway of Newhall Road for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction.

Full details of the proposed restrictions are in the draft Order which, together with a plan showing the extents of the proposals, may be examined at the Council Offices, HQ, Nicholas Street, Chester between the hours of 9am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday and may be viewed in the Public Notices section of the Council’s website.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 22 August 2025 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations relating to the Orders should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.

(KNUTSFORD WAY, CHESTER) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

Introduce:

• Knutsford Way (both sides) – from a point 68 metres north-west of the back of footway of Winsford Way to a point 62 metres north-westerly and then north easterly.

Full details of the proposed restrictions are in the draft Order which, together with a plan showing the extents of the proposals, may be examined at the Council Offices, HQ, Nicholas Street, Chester between the hours of 9am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday and may be viewed in the Public Notices section of the Council’s website.
