NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION [257] [258] AND PARAGRAPH [7] [8] OF SCHEDULE 14
THE DERBY CITY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 5 SINFIN MOOR) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

On 24 July 2025 Derby City Council confirmed the above Order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from Point A (grid reference 436493 330891) adjacent to Cuttle Brook and then continuing in a south easterly direction for 175 metres to Point F (grid reference 436589 330742) on Sinfin Moor Lane, (and extinguish any bridleway rights over it), to a line running from:

Point A (grid reference 436493 330891) and then continuing in a south easterly direction for 24 metres to Point B (grid reference 436501 330872) and then continuing in a south westerly direction for 26 metres to Point C (grid reference 436495 330848) and then continuing in a south easterly direction for a distance of 80 metres to Point D (grid reference 436543 330780) and then continuing in a south easterly direction for 42 metres to Point E (grid reference 436580 330760) and then continuing in a south easterly direction for 19 metres to Point F (grid reference 436589 330742) on Sinfin Moor Lane, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge by first contacting rightsofway@derby.gov.uk and then visiting the Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS, by appointment between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

This order comes into force on the date on which Derby City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers or the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph [7] [8] of Schedule 14 to that Act.
