What is planned?

Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 Statutory Rule
PRE-APPLICATION COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
Proposal: Translink are proposing the demolition of the existing station building and Musgrave
Marketplace building to provide a new railway passenger facility in Lurgan as well as increased Park
& Ride capacity, construction of a sheltering canopy on both platforms and a pedestrian/cycle bridge
linking the station building and platforms.
Location: Lurgan Train Station, Railway Street, Lurgan, BT66 6JB
Further to previous consultation, including public consultation events in Lurgan Town Hall and St
Peters GAA Community Sports Hall and an online consultation during November 2024, an additional
period of online consultation will be carried out with respect to this proposal to comply with new
statutory regulations.
The additional online public consultation, lasting 28 days, will run between Friday 1 st August and
Friday 29 th August 2025. Information on the proposal can be accessed by visiting

The Pre-Application Community Consultation process provides an opportunity for the public to view
plans for this proposed development and provide feedback before a planning application is
submitted to the Council.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to Armagh City,
Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council. Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not
representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted to the
Council, normal neighbourhood notification and publicity will be undertaken at that time, and you
will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
