NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

FOOTPATH 34 MARRICK (20.42/34)

DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above order, made on 1 July 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the section of public footpath near Nun Cote Nook that runs from point A on Bridealow 20.42/32 (grid reference SE 0827 9883) north eastwards to point C (SE 0841 9902) (total length: 241 metres), so as to run, instead, from point B on Bridealow 20.42/32 (SE 0830 9883) in a north-north easterly direction to point C (SE 0841 9902) (total length 226 metres) as shown on the order map. All distances stated are approximate. The order will not take effect unless and until it is confirmed.

A copy of the order and the order map can be viewed at the National Park Office, Yoredale, Bainbridge during normal office hours until 22 August 2025, or on our website using the following link www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/path-orders. Alternatively, please email C2C@yorkshiredales.org.uk or telephone 01969 652386 to arrange for copies to be sent to you free of charge.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Solicitor, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, Yoredale, Bainbridge, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 3EL not later than 22 August 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
