You will be able to check that it has been uploaded to the website but please allow 5 working days for it to be uploaded. The Council will aim to redact signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses but please help us by not including this information within the comments section if you are submitting through the website or in the main body of your letter. For details of what we do with your personal information, please refer to our privacy statement comments on planning applications which is available on our website

https://www.arun.gov.uk/privacy-policy/

Unfortunately it is not possible for the Council to respond to each letter individually but your comments will be carefully considered before the application is determined. Unless you comment using the online facility, your representation will not be acknowledged, but you will be advised if the application is to be determined by the Planning Committee and you will be informed of the decision. The progress of the application can be followed on the website.

Should the application subsequently go to an appeal the Planning Inspectorate will publish any comments made to the Council on their website:

https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/

but they will protect personal details. Please note that where an appeal relates to a refusal of a householder, advert or minor commercial application, there is no further opportunity to make comments on the application.
