What is planned?

MOLE VALLEY DISTRICT COUNCIL 

Notice Is Hereby Given that the District Council has received applications for planning permission, Listed Building Consent, a Departure, Major Development, Significant Development, or which may affect a Public Right of Way, as the case may be, for developments as briefly described in the following schedule.

MO/2025/0779: Fatface, 115 - 117, High Street, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1AL Erection of 1 No. externally illuminated fascia sign and 1 No. externally illuminated projecting sign. 

MO/2025/1053: Ashbourne Cottage, Wheelers Lane, Brockham, Betchworth, Surrey, RH3 7LA, Demolition of garage building and reconstruction to form a gym to include 4 No. rooflights. Change of use of part of the existing store attached to the garage to provide a shower room. 

MO/2025/1128: The Abinger Cookery School, Guildford Road, Abinger Hammer, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6RZ, Change of use of former cookery school to convert into a detached dwelling with private garden and parking for 4 No. cars. 

MO/2025/1129 and MO/2025/1134: 98 South Street, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 2EW, Erection of non-illuminated fascia sign and self-adhesive vinyl film on the main shop window, external door and fan light above external door, erection of dark blue coloured metro style external ceramic wall tiles to the front elevation, below the shop window. 

MO/2025/1145: Queen Elizabeths Foundation Development Centre, Oaklawn Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0BT, Variation of condition 2 of approved planning 

MO/2024/0485 for the demolition of the existing buildings and development of a new building for Use Classes B2, B8 and Class E(g)(ii)(iii) including ancillary office space, provision of service areas, car and cycle parking, landscaping and associated works to allow to vary the relevant approved plans to rationalise the cluster of duct penetrations on the roof in the south-eastern corner of the building, extending approximately 3 metres above the approved roofline. 

MO/2025/1156: Ashcombe House, The Crescent, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8DY, Prior notification for the change of use of part of the building from Commercial/Business/Service (Use Class E) into 25 self contained residential units (Use Class C3). 

MO/2025/1164: 112, Rothes Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1LB, Replacement of windows on ground and first floor. Front elevation: single glazed timber sash windows to be replaced with doubled-glazed timber sash windows. Rear elevation: single-glazed timber sash windows to be replaced with double-glazed upvc sash windows, one single-glazed timber casement window to be replaced with double-glazed upvc casement window.

Representations should be submitted to me in writing by 14 August 2025 Development Control Manager, Pippbrook, Dorking, RH4 1SJ.
