What is planned?

Local Government Act 1972 Section 123(1), (2A)
St Michaels Playing Field (also known as Bearton Green Playing Fields), Hitchin.
Notice is hereby given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to dispose of land at St Michaels Playing Field, Hitchin by way of a lease to North Herts District Council. The land has an area of approximately 2.44 Hectares, which consists or forms part of an open space.
A plan of the land that is intended to be disposed of can be provided if requested. This notice is given insofar as the land consists or forms part of an open space within the above Section, being for present purposes any land laid out or used for the purposes of public recreation.
Objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to Hertfordshire County Council’s managing agents – Carter Jonas at hertfordshire@carterjonas.co.uk, by no later than 8th August 2025.
