What is planned?
Sheepfold Energy Storage Project
Lightsource bp is holding a public information session regarding the proposed Sheepfold energy storage project located at land south of Lauder and west of Blainslie. (Grid Reference NT 521435)
Exhibitions will be held on
Thursday 7th August from 2pm to 8pm at Blainslie Village Hall, 6 The Croft, Galashiels TD1 2QF
Tuesday 16th September from 2pm to 8pm at Lauder Public Hall, Lauder TD2 6SR
This is in accordance with Electricity Act 1989 - sections 36 and 37: applications guidance. Information about the proposal will be on display and project representatives in attendance to answer any questions. In addition, information already submitted to the Energy Consents Unit can be found on the planning portal using the reference; ECU00006231.

(quoting “Sheepfold”). Preapplication comments and queries can be shared with the project team by way of feedback form on the day of the event or through the project website lightsourcebp.com/uk/project/sheepfold or by phone on 07542 754642 (Luminate consultancy).
Statements made to the project team are not formal planning representations. If a planning application is submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit, then there will be an opportunity to make a direct representation to the ECU.
