NOTICE OF PLANNING APPLICATION
Proposed development at Land at Sheepfolds Industrial Estate Monkwearmouth Sunderland
I give notice that Sunderland City Council
is applying to Sunderland City Council in its capacity as interested Local Planning Authority for;
Hybrid planning application consisting of full planning permission for the demolition of 38 No industrial units (part retrospective); full planning permission for enabling works to facilitate the development of Plots 4 and 5; and Outline planning permission (all matters reserved except for Access) for the proposed phased development for up to 600 homes of residential accommodation, mobility hub (Sui Generis), up to 1,750sqm of commercial space (Class E(a), E(b), E(e) and E(f)),associated infrastructure works and associated mitigation.
and that the application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement, which is a major application with Application reference: 25/01416/HY3.
The above application relates to development intended to be carried out, on or on behalf of, Sunderland City Council.
The proposed development to which the application relates is situated within 10 metres of a relevant railway land.
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates, is situated.
The application relates to a proposal which affects the setting of the Former Railway Stables, Easington Street, 6 Back North Bridge Street, Monkwearmouth Station Museum North Bridge Street, Monkwearmouth Railway Bridge with viaduct to North, The Wearmouth Bridge, Barclay Lodge, Hebron Church North Bridge Street, and Coal Staithe at Wearmouth Collery which are included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest.
The application, the plans, the environmental statement and other documents submitted with the application are available for inspection at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA, during normal office hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (please note this is a self-serve facility) or can be viewed on the website below. Copies of the environmental statement can be obtained from the address below at a charge of £250 for a paper copy or £10 for a CD.
