The closure is necessary to facilitate Soap Box Derby Competition. Alt route: via Cotton Street, St Andrews Street, Queen Street and Vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL
(A755 BRIDGE STREET AND C61S BEACONSFIELD PLACE, KIRKCUDBRIGHT) (TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to impose temporary No Waiting At Any Time waiting restrictions on Bridge Street and Beaconsfield Place, Kirkcudbright from 00.00hrs on 03/07/25 until 23.59hrs on 02/01/27. The proposed restrictions will keep the carriageway free from parked vehicles, maintain access for all road users and keep visibility splays at junctions clear. Restricting parking at these locations will impact on the safe and efficient use of these carriageways and junctions by vehicular traffic and remove congestion at inappropriate locations, thereby improving the amenity of the area through which the road runs. The proposed restrictions will have the effect of maintaining access and improving vehicle flow and visibility on the road and other local roads thereby facilitating passage.
