NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15
Notice of proposed development/works at (a) Springfield Farm, Wycoller Road, Trawden. 25/0025/FUL Full: Erection of 3 no. agricultural buildings to roof over existing farmyard. The proposal is within the Trawden Forest Conservation Area. (b) 88 Manchester Road, Nelson. 25/0387/FUL Full: Installation of new shop front with recessed pin hole shutter. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. (c) 2 Frank Street, Barnoldswick. 25/0369/FUL Full: Change of use from an existing Florist shop (Use Class E(a) to a Wine/Cocktail bar with food (Sui Generis). The proposal is within the Barnoldswick Conservation Area. (d) 56 Manchester Road, Nelson. 25/0375/FUL Full: Change of use of ground floor and basement from a retail camera shop (Use Class E(a) to a hot food takeaway/diner (Sui Generis) with the conversion of the upper floors to 2 no. self-contained flats (Use Class C3); including new shopfront installation with integrated shutters, installation of rear extraction flue, single-storey rear entrance structure and the removal and replacement of upper floor windows. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 11 July 2025. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 11 July 2025; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (
under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
