Consultation on Further Amendments to the Proposed Development Net Zero Fourteen Limited (the Appellant) has submitted a planning appeal regarding the above site following the refusal of full planning permission by York City Council on 9th of December 2024 for:

"Erection of a Battery Energy Storage System with associated infrastructure, site levelling works, access, landscaping and ancillary works." (Application reference: 23/02030/FULM)

Following on from our previous April 2025 consultation, further additional comments have been made from the Foss Internal Drainage Board (FIDB) relating to the proximity of 5.No Trees preventing the FIDB's access to Osbaldwick Beck.

The proposed further changes are as follows:

  • Amendments to proposed Landscape Masterplan Drawing ref P23-1507-EN-0015 Rev D (CD 3.5) (Figure 1 below) which the Trees and hedgerows in question being removed from the areas of easement outlined within the IDB response dated 08/05/25

This consultation is not run on behalf of York City Council. The purpose of the consultation is to consult on the amended proposals not on the Appellant's application to appeal the Council's decision. There will be an opportunity for the interested parties to respond to the appeal separately.
