Notice is hereby given that Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc “the Company”, (registered in Scotland under company registration number SC213461 at Inveralmond House 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth, PH1 3AQ) has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 to install and keep installed approximately 0.11 km of 400 kV overhead line supported on a steel lattice tower between the proposed Cambushinnie substation (OS Grid Reference 279048 709037) and the existing Beauly - Denny overhead line (OS Grid Reference 278995 709103), and the installation of a temporary diversion of the existing Beauly - Denny 400 / 275 kV overhead line of approximate length of 0.98 km supported on steel lattice towers located between OS Grid Reference 278678 708865 and OS Grid Reference 279441 709445, approximately 3.5 km west of Braco, Perth and Kinross.
Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc has also asked that Scottish Ministers give a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

Any representations on the application may be submitted by email to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit mailbox at representations@gov.scot; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Please note that there may be a delay in the ECU receiving representations by post.
Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations. Emailed representations should also include the full return email address of those making representations.
Only representations sent by email to representations@gov.scot will receive acknowledgement. Please note that the application reference number must be clearly stated in the representation.
All representations should be made such that they are received by Scottish Ministers not later than 25 July 2025, although Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Inquiry (PI) to be held.
Following examination of the application Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:
• Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
• Reject the proposal
