What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990 THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2017 (AS AMENDED)

Medway Council as Local Planning Authority has received the following applications which are being advertised to ascertain the views of persons living near the sites and other interested parties. The proposed developments relate to one or more of the following:

1. The site of the application is within/affecting the setting of a designated Conservation Area (Section 73) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

2.  The application relates to, or affects the setting of a Listed Building (Section 67) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

3. The application is for a Major Development;

MC/25/1086 - Durland House, 160 High Street, Rainham, Gillingham Reason 2  Reason 1  
Construction of two detached buildings comprising of four self-contained assisted living units ancillary to existing care home - demolition of existing garage.

MC/25/1047 - Airport Works, Bae Systems, Marconi Way, Rochester, Medway
Reason 3    
Reserved matters application to consider matters of (appearance and  landscaping) together with details to seek discharge of conditions 5 (LEMP), 12 (Surface Water Drainage Scheme), 14 (Infiltration), 18 (Piling) and 21 (Energy Efficiency) pursuant to outline permission MC/22/2990 (as amended by MC/25/0412) - Outline application with some matters reserved (Appearance and Landscaping) for the redevelopment of the land associated with BAE Systems to include the provision of a new factory building, one office building and a new deep storage building, with ancillary car parking areas, alongside associated highways, fencing and access works, provision of new substation, waste storage compound, heat pump/chiller plant, pump house, sprinkler tanks and gate houses following demolition of the existing buildings bar Faraday building and Falcon building which will remain - resubmission of MC/21/2292. Outline planning application was not an environment impact assessment application, and no environmental statement was submitted to the planning authority at that time.

Variation of conditions 3 (Noise) and 4 (Extraction) on planning permission MC/21/3023 to re-word condition 3 and 4 from pre commencement conditions to (The development will not be brought into use until).

MC/25/1049 - St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School, City Way, Rochester, ME1 2FA
Reason 3  
Installation of floodlights to the existing 3G sports pitch to allow for all year-round use of the facility by both the school and local community groups including amendment to the Community usage agreement operating hours.

MC/25/1087 - Durland House, 160 High Street, Rainham, Gillingham
Reason 2  Reason 1  
Listed building consent for construction of two detached buildings comprising of four selfcontained assisted living units ancillary to existing care home - demolition of existing garage.

MC/25/1092 - Dux Court, Dux Court Road, Hoo St Werburgh, Rochester Reason 2  
Construction of a detached outbuilding.
