What is planned?
NOTICE OF COMING INTO FORCE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER, LANCASTER CITY COUNCIL, TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 278 AND PARAGRAPH 8 OF SCHEDULE 14, THE LANCASTER CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024, DIVERSION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY RB0106023, (the Order)
On 26 February 2025 Lancaster City Council confirmed the Order under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. A notice of confirmation of the Order was issued on 13 March 2025.

Article 3 of the Order states that the diversion of the footpath shall have effect on the date on which Lancaster City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with. Article 2 requires an alternative footpath to be created to the satisfaction of Lancaster City Council.
The new footpath described in Part 2 of the Schedule attached to the Order has been completed to the satisfaction of the Lancaster City Council. Lancaster City Council hereby certifies, in accordance with Article 3 of the Order, that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with and the footpath diversion hereby takes effect.
