BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

Publication of the Silchester Neighbourhood Plan 2024–2040

The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) Regulation 16

Silchester Parish Council as the qualifying body has prepared a neighbourhood development plan, entitled the Silchester Neighbourhood Development Plan 2024–2040, for their parish with the help of the local community. The neighbourhood plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is consulting on whether the submitted Silchester Neighbourhood Plan complies with the relevant legal requirements and can therefore proceed to formal consultation and independent examination.

In accordance with the Regulations, the Borough Council is required to publicise the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents and invite comments.

Copies of the Silchester Neighbourhood Plan, Consultation Statement, Basic Conditions Statement, Strategic Environment Assessment report and Equalities Impact Assessment are available to view on the borough council’s website:
