Publication: 22 May 2025 - The following applications have been received by the Council:
Applicant: Aston Villa Football Club - Ref: PAP/2025/0185
Aston Villa Training Ground, Bodymoor Heath Lane, Bodymoor Heath.
1. Change of use of land north of Bodymoor Heath Training Ground from agricultural field to sports pitches including 3No. with floodlighting to provide Ladies’ Team and Girl’s academy facilities, with associated engineering works, drainage infrastructure and comprehensively landscaped mitigation area.
2. Two Storey side extension and alterations to existing academy building to provide additional facilities for U 16 Girls academy and U16 boys academy.
Reason: Major Development and Affects Setting of Listed Building.
Applicant: Canal & River Trust - Ref: PAP/2025/0204 Bodymoor Heath Bridge, Bodymoor Heath Lane, Bodymoor Heath - The proposed works seek to stabilise the northwest wingwall of the bridge through insertion of tie rods and use of pattress plates.
Reason: Listed Building.
Applicant: USA CHICKEN - Ref: PAP/2025/0183 and PAP/2025/0184 42, Long Street, Atherstone - Retrospective Applications for Advertisement Consent for 1no. illuminated fascia sign (0.6m high x 4.1m wide), 1no. non-illuminated projecting/ hanging sign (0.38m high x 0.5m wide), vinyl window graphics and 1no. menu board and for the change of use of the premises from Class E (Café) to Sui Generis (Hot Food Takeaway).
Reason: Conservation Area.
