PLANNING AND COMPULSORY PURCHASE ACT 2004 DRAFT SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has amended a Supplementary Planning Document under the provision of Regulations 12 and 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. The following provides information about the consultation process. SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENTS (SPDs) SPDs provide additional detail and guidance to support Local Plan policies. They will help applicants when preparing planning applications and assist in speeding up the planning process. Once adopted, they are a material consideration which can be taken into account when determining planning applications. The following documents have been published: • Revised SPD4: Householder Design Guide • A Consultation Statement CONSULTATION PERIOD The Council is seeking your comments on the draft Supplementary Planning Document from Friday 23 May until 5pm on Monday 23 June 2025. Representations received after this deadline will not be taken into consideration. INSPECTION OF DOCUMENTS Consultation documents can be viewed on the Council’s consultation website at https://rotherham-consult.objective.co.uk/kse Reference copies are available during normal opening times at Riverside Library, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE. MAKING REPRESENTATIONS Representations should be made using the consultation website. This is the Council’s preferred method for receiving representations, as it helps to speed up the management of the process. Alternatively comments clearly marked ‘SPD Consultation’ can be submitted by email to planning.policy@rotherham.gov.uk or in writing by submitting a consultation response form to: SPD consultation, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Planning Policy, Regeneration & Environment Services, Riverside House, Main Street, ROTHERHAM, S60 1AE A consultation response form is available to download from the consultation website or by request from Planning Policy. Representations on the SPD may also be accompanied by a request to be notified of the adoption of the SPD.
