What is planned?

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure Scotland) Regulations 2013 as amended by The Town and Country Planning (Pre-Application Consultation) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021.


Deerdykes BioEnergy hereby give notice of a pre-application consultation event to be held in relation to the following proposed development at Westfield Industrial Estate, Old Quarry Road, Westfield, Cumbernauld:
“Full planning application for the proposed expansion and redevelopment of existing anaerobic digestion facility at Westfield Industrial Estate, Old Quarry Road, Westfield, Cumbernauld, Glasgow G68 9NB.”
In advance of submitting an application for planning permission a second consultation event will take place on:
Thursday 29th May between 3-7PM at Westfield Community Centre
(Westfield Dr, Westfield, Cumbernauld, Glasgow G68 9HJ)

The event will provide updated information on the proposed development and the project team will be in attendance to discuss the proposals and answer any questions prior to the formal submission of the planning application.

) is currently available, with copies of the event material and online feedback available from 29th May 2025.

Persons wishing to make comments on the proposals may do so at the event, via the website, or in writing to C/O Cavendish Consulting, 220 Saint Vincent Street, G2 5SG. Please note all feedback from the second round of consultation 29th May event) should be submitted by 14th June 2025.
This notice does not relate to a planning application and comments should not be made to North Lanarkshire Council.
Any comments made to the Applicant are not representations to the Planning Authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted to the North Lanarkshire Council normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken and the public will have the opportunity to make formal representations at that time.
