Stanton Hill, Unregistered Footpaths - Temporary Prohibition
What is planned?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATHS
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (STANTON HILL UNREGISTERED FOOTPATHS, SUTTON IN ASHFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall: - Proceed on foot,
in the following lengths of Footpath at Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield.
Unregistered Footpaths between Stoneyford Road and Gilcroft Street as shown on the attached plan.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From 1st June 2025 to 30th November 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there are no alternative routes available.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpaths. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety and to facilitate approved housing development whilst also protecting these routes which the developer will then incorporate into the finished development.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 21ST DAY OF MAY 2025.
