What is planned?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications have been made to the BOROUGH COUNCIL of NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME for planning permission for the development set out below: -
Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990
Development affecting a Conservation Area /Listed Building

1.Brick up internal door between existing retail area, Class E, and existing residential areas, Class C3, to secure the retail area and prevent residents accessing via the front door of 34 High Street. Residents will use the side entrance on Pepper Street at 34 High Street Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire ST5 1QL by Mr Peter Jackson. File ref 25/00290/FUL (application site is within the Newcastle Town Centre Conservation Area).

2.Change of use from former conservative social club to 15 bed HMO (C4) at Conservative Club 154 Church Street Silverdale Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire ST5 6JH by Amih Property. File ref 25/00336/FUL (application site is within the Silverdale Conservation Area).

3.Replacement PVC windows to the front and drive way elevation, with a new PVC rear door and flag window to the rear at Elgin House 111 York Street Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire ST5 1DE by Mr Mark Mogadam. File ref 25/00135/FUL (application site is within Stubbs Walk Conservation Area).

4.Proposed additional fence to highway facing wall of the backyard at Forge Cottage Brampton Road Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire ST5 0UJ by Mr Thomas GuilbertNewell. File ref 25/00272/FUL (application site is within Brampton Conservation Area).

5.Change of use from office to domestic annexe at Old Brewery Oakley Hall Oakley Market Drayton Shropshire TF9 4AG by Mr Tariq Ghani. File ref 25/00231/COU & 25/00232/LBC (application site is a Grade II Listed Building).

During the period of 21 days beginning with the date of the publication of this Notice you may call in to Castle House Barracks Road Newcastleunder-Lyme ST5 1BL at any time between the hours of 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays only, or the Customer Services Centre in Kidsgrove Town Hall Liverpool Road Kidsgrove between the hours of 9.00 am to 1.00 pm or 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm on weekdays only, to inspect the application plans and documents. Alternatively the applications may be viewed on line at www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk

Any person who wishes to make representations to the above mentioned Council should make them in writing within that period to the Development Control Manager, Regeneration and Development Services Castle House Barracks Road Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 1BL or e-mail to planningapplications@newcastle-staffs.gov. uk Please bear in mind that any communication you send will be open to inspection by, and may be copied to, other parties.
