What is planned?

The Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended) and The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 Regulation 7(2) (as amended) - Notice of Pre-Application Consultation Public Event

GPC 676 Ltd give notice of their intention to submit a planning application for the proposed development as follows:

“Proposed installation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) (up to 40MW), with associated infrastructure” at Newhouse Farm, Westburn Road, Cambuslang, Glasgow, G72 7UN. 

Further information on the proposed development will be available at a public exhibition, being held as follows:

15:30-19:30 on 21st May 2025 at Flemington Hallside Parish Church, Hutchinson Pl, Cambuslang, Glasgow G72 8XX

Please note, comments on these proposals are to the prospective applicant and not formal representations to South Lanarkshire Council.
