Notice under Article 15

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Essex County Council has received a planning application from Sewells Reservoir Construction Limited for Continuation of development permitted by ESS/16/20/UTT without compliance with conditions 3, 27, 51, 54, 56 and 57 to allow amended timescales for the completion of extraction and restoration, allow revised restoration details and update details in relation to restoration and aftercare.

ESS/16/20/UTT is a variation permission for "Winning & working of sand and gravel, erection of a concrete plant, workshop & ancillary buildings/plant & importation & treatment of inert material to produce secondary aggregate & reclamation material for progressive restoration to landscaped farmland" at Highwood Quarry, Stortford Road, Little Canfield, Essex, CM6 1SL – ESS/29/25/UTT

The proposal may affect the setting of Stone Hall which is Grade II* Listed.

Little Easton Footpath 24, Little Easton Footpath 22 and Little Canfield Footpath 5 may be affected by the proposal.

Consultation on this application is open until 23 May 2025.
