Notice of proposed development/works at (a) Land to the North of All Saints Church, Skipton Road, Earby. 25/0129/OUT Outline: Erection of 5 no. dwellings (Access only). The proposal is within the Earby Conservation Area. (b) Swinden Playing Fields, Cravendale Avenue, Nelson. 25/0260/FUL Full: Siting of a container. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. (c) Market Hall, Market Street, Colne. 25/0287/FUL Full: Change of use at first floor to remove 9 no. existing residential apartments (Use Class C3) to create an ancillary business use at ground floor (Use Class E) including alterations to the external appearance. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building.
HOUSEHOLDER APPLICATIONS
(d) Marles Hill, 150 Wheatley Lane Road, Barrowford. 25/0280/HHO Full: Erection of a single-storey rear and side extension to ground floor and the erection of an outbuilding. The proposal is within the Carr Hall/Wheatley Lane Road Conservation Area. (e) 70 Maurice Street, Nelson. 25/0285/HHO. Full: Erection of a single-storey rear extension. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. As these are householder applications, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about these applications will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 23 May 2025. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 23 May 2025; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (

under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
