Errochty Substation and Kinardochy Substation - Pre-Application Final Notice

NOTICE OF PRE-APPLICATION FOR FINAL PUBLIC EVENT

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc (the Applicant), operating and known as Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission (SSEN Transmission), hereby submits notification of pre-application consultation for a proposed development south of Tummel Bridge, Pitlochry.

The development site is located on land between Errochty Substation, PH16 5NU and Kinardochy Substation, PH16 5NH.

The proposed development is for: Proposed temporary and permanent access tracks to facilitate the installation of a 132 kV underground cable (to be considered by the Applicant to benefit from permitted development rights) connecting Errochty Substation to the new Kinardochy Substation. Additional infrastructure will include laydown/construction compound(s), bellmouth access, associated landscaping/planting and any other ancillary works (Major Development).

A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) was submitted to Perth and Kinross Council (PKC) for this proposed development on 22nd October 2024 (24/00011/PAN).

Members of the local community and interested members of the public are invited to attend the following consultation event (Final Public Event) relating to the proposal described above to be held on:

Monday 12th May 2025, Kynachan Hall, Tummel Bridge, Pitlochry between the times of 1600 hours – 1900 hours.

These events are an opportunity to view the proposals and to meet the Applicant and the project team who will be available to answer questions about the projects.

Comments received at the first consultation event, and online during the consultation period, have been summarised. Feedback on how these comments have informed the proposal will be delivered at this Final Public Event.

Comments on the proposal can be submitted to the Applicant by email or in writing by using the contact details provided above. These comments must be received no later than 26th May 2025.

The Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) process undertaken, and the feedback received, will be summarised and presented in a PAC Report to be submitted with the future planning application.

Any comments received following this final public event will only be addressed in the PAC Report.

Please note that any comments made to the Applicant are not representations to Perth and Kinross Council. There will be opportunity to make representations to the local planning authority following the submission of the planning application.
