On 18 December 2024, the Council submitted the ‘Proposed Submission’ version of the Waltham Forest Local Plan Part 2 (Site Allocations) to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Secretary of State has appointed Inspector David Troy BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI to undertake an independent examination of the Waltham Forest Local Plan Part 2 (Site Allocation).
Waltham Forest Council hereby gives notice that the examination hearing will be held as follows:
Dates & Times of Hearing
Week 1: Monday 2nd June 2025 (AM only), Tuesday 3rd June 2025 (AM and PM) and Wednesday 4th June 2025 (AM and PM), Thursday 5th June 2025 (AM and PM) and Friday 6th June 2025 (reserved as possible ‘overspill’ sitting day if required)
Week 2: Tuesday 1st July (AM and PM), Wednesday 2nd July (AM and PM), Thursday 3rd July (reserved as possible ‘overspill’ sitting day if required)
Hearing sessions will commence at 0930hrs on Monday 2nd June 2025 at 9.30 am and will normally run between 0930hrs and 1300hrs and 1400hrs and 1730hrs each day.

The hearing sessions will be in person at the Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JF
The hearing sessions are public events and will be available for non-participants and the public to attend (to observe).
