What is planned?
NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 OF TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 AND UNDER THE PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990
KCC/DA/0047/2025 – Proposed development at Acacia Hall, Car Park,South of Dartford Town Centre, along Kent Fastway, Dartford, Kent, DA1 1RX.
Kent County Council’s Major Capital Programme Team is applying to Kent County Council Planning Applications Group for planning permission for the installation of electric bus charging infrastructure, LV feeder pillar and associated equipment to support the charging infrastructure; 3no. EKO Energetyka Link 450kw electric bus chargers; creation of new entrance and exit accesses for buses and pedestrians; diversion of a Public Right of Way (PROW) where it crosses the Fastrack bus way; relocation and removal of two existing uncontrolled crossings of the Fastrack busway; 3no. new lighting columns; new triangular island bus stop, and associated landscaping.
The proposed development is on the edge of the Dartford Town Centre Conservation Area and could affect its character and/or appearance, and also could affect the setting of listed buildings.
The proposed development will affect the setting of a public right of way (PROW).
