Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is planned?
(SEYMOUR ROAD, RAINHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable fibre optic cables to be installed
Seymour Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from Moor Street Farm and across the frontage of Wakelay Farm. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Canterbury Lane, Otterham Quay Lane and Moor Street.
This Order will come into force on Friday, 25 April 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 25 April 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(WATSON AVENUE, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out
Watson Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic throughout. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Holland Road, Hill View Way, Concord Avenue, Amehyst Avenue and Barberry Avenue.
This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 27 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 27 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(REED STREET, CLIFFE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -
Reed Street, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 44 Reed Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Swingate Avenue and Thatchers Lane.
This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 20 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 20 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days.
The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed. (STAR HILL, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated highway maintenance works to be carried out
Star Hill, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with City Way and the junction with High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress.
This Order will come into force on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 1 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within two consecutive nights (with works taking place between 7pm and 7am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(PIER ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a manhole cover and frame to be replaced
Pier Road, Gillingham –The westbound traffic lane to be closed between a point in line with the junction with Pegasus Way and a point eight metres east of the junction with Camden Road. An alternative route will be available via Watling Street and Rainham Road.
This Order will come into force on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 1 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 11pm and 5am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out
Merryboys Road, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of “Maple Cottage”. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Town Road, Station Road, Cooling Road and Cooling Common.
This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 28 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
