TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2012 - AS AMENDED CONSULTATION ON THE DRAFT COPYTHORNE PARISH DESIGN STATEMENT SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT

Copythorne Parish Council has prepared a draft Parish Design Statement setting out how new development within the parish can positively contribute towards local character. The New Forest National Park Authority – as the local planning authority for the majority of the parish – intends to adopt the Parish Design Statement as a ‘Supplementary Planning Document’, meaning it would be material to the consideration of planning applications within the National Park area of the parish. The New Forest National Park Authority is therefore consulting on the draft Copythorne Parish Design Statement for a 6-week period prior to considering its formal adoption as a Supplementary Planning Document.

The consultation runs from 23 April to 4 June 2025. The draft Copythorne Parish Design Statement is available for inspection at Lymington Town Hall, Avenue Road, Lymington, SO41 9ZG during office hours; and at https://www.newforestnpa.gov.uk/consultations/

Representations on the draft Copythorne Partish Design Statement SPD should be made during the 6-week consultation period:

• By email to policy@newforestnpa.gov.uk

• By post to Policy Team, New Forest National Park Authority, Lymington Town Hall, Avenue Road, Lymington, SO41 9ZG

Representations received will be reviewed by the National Park Authority and Copythorne Parish Council before the final version of the Copythorne Parish Design Statement SPD is considered for formal adoption at the full National Park Authority meeting in July 2025.
