I give notice that the following application for planning permission accompanied by an Environmental Statement has been made to The City of Newcastle upon Tyne.

You can look at the further information and the environmental statement at www.newcastle.gov.uk/ viewplanning or by using a PC at the City Library, Charles Avison Building, 33 New Bridge Street West, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8AX between 10.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Hard copies of the environmental statement can be purchased from Lichfields, The St Nicholas Building, St Nicholas Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1RF as long as stocks last, at a charge of £703 + Vat, or a CD at £50.

Location: Land To The South Of A696, West Of Newbiggin Lane And North Of Hareydene (upper Callerton)

Proposal: Phased Hybrid planning application: full planning permission for the erection of 382 homes (Use Class C3) and access via Spine Road to Whorlton Lane with associated landscaping, public open space, sustainable urban drainage features and infrastructure, and outline planning permission (all matters reserved except access) for the erection of up to 1,068 homes (Use Class C3), allotments, primary school (Use Class F1), local centre (incorporating up to 900sqm of Class E - Retail/Class F2 -Local Community Use) and associated landscaping, public open space, sustainable urban drainage features and infrastructure (as amended 22.08.2023 and 07/04/2025).
