Notice under Regulation 21

The proposed development at Tincorn Hill Quarry, B743 from U79 Brocklar to U724 Garpel, Sorn, East Ayrshire is subject to environmental impact assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

Notice is hereby given that an EIA report has been submitted to East Ayrshire Council by Mr Donald Wilkins, Breedon Trading Ltd relating to the planning application 25/0127/PP for the proposed lateral extension of Tincorn Hill Quarry to the north and east and deepening of the extended excavation.

Possible decisions relating to the application are:--

i) approval of the application without conditions;

ii) approval of the application with conditions;

iii) refusal of the application.

A copy of the EIA report, the associated application and other documents submitted with the application may be inspected by appointment only at East Ayrshire Council, The Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1DD, and also viewed at http://eplanning.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/online/ (searching for reference 25/0127/PP) during the period of 30 days beginning on the day from the date of this notice.

Paper copies of the EIA Report will be available to view at Cumnock Library, Rothesay House, 1 Greenholm Street, Cumnock, KA18 1LH, at normal opening hours. CD copies of the EIA Report may be obtained at a cost of £25.00. A full paper copy of the EIA Report, including all drawings, can be obtained at a cost of £500.00, and would include the following: Volume 1: Non-Technical Summary, Volume 2: EIA Report and Volume 3: Technical Appendices.

Any person who wishes to make representations to East Ayrshire Council about the EIA report should make them in writing within the period to the Council at Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock KA1 1DD or at http://eplanning.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/online/ quoting reference 25/0127/PP.

Any submission of additional environmental information will be further notified in the press via a public notice which will detail how representations can be made in respect of that additional information.
