What is planned?

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST (LBWF)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER SEWER REPLACEMENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) (LEA BRIDGE ROAD E10, (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 10th April 2025 it made an Order to allow for works associated with sewer replacement in Lea Bridge Road (LBR) to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

The general effect of the Order will be, only when works necessitate such measures and where signed accordingly, to prohibit the following:

a) traffic from entering or waiting in Lea Bridge Road E10 (LBR) – northwestbound side) between the common boundaries of Nos. 414/416 and Nos. 434/436; and

b) travelling west to east in LBR – from making a left turn into Rochdale Rd E17.

The Order will come into operation on 13th April 2025 for a maximum period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13(25))

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 1 day. (However the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies.)

THE WALTHAM FOREST (CADENT GAS NEW CONNECTION, MONTALT ROAD E4) (TEMPORARY MEASURES), (NO. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 10th April 2025 it made an Order to allow for new gas mains connections to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner by Cadent Gas.

The general effect of the Order will be, only when works necessitate such measures and where signed accordingly, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, in Montalt Road E4 – between the common boundaries of Nos. 1820 and No. 6/28.

The Order will come into operation on 22nd April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 4 months, but affiliation time is required for contingencies. (Ref: T14/25)

Vehicles waiting in roads in disregard of these Orders would be removed.

Pedestrian access to adjacent premises will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular access to adjacent premises will be maintained whenever practicable and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times during the works.

In these Orders:

"pedestrian access" includes any route for use by pedestrians and not restricted to the footway;

"vehicular access" includes any route for use by vehicles situated in the carriageway or parts of roads affected by any of the measures in the notices and includes access to any premises adjoining the roads affected by the Orders where the said route would not apply (in relation to normal vehicular access).

Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of:

a) a police constable in uniform; or

b) persons authorised by the Council for specific purposes of the works undertaken.

Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads affected by the Orders. Detailed information about dates, times, specific duration and the exact effect of these prohibitions, effects or any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
