The Council has under consideration the following applications:
Ref: DMPA/2024/1604 (Affects a Public Right of Way) Change of use of land from agricultural to Commercial and the creation of a secure dog field at Land Opposite 130 Derby Road, Hilton, Derby
Refs: DMPA/2024/1642 (Affects a Conservation Area & a Listed Building) Listed Building Consent for the infill of the archway area in the museum shop to separate the reception desk and office areas including a sliding door for access and raising the floor at Sharpes Pottery, West Street, Swadlincote, DE11 9DG
Ref: DMPA/2025/0252 (Affects a Conservation Area, Affects a listed building & the Setting of a Listed Building) Listed Building Consent for internal alterations (flooring, panelling, additional timber screen, new brick slips and and new wall light position) and external alterations (lighting to rear beer garden and external decoration to main frontage and side elevation) at 50 Main Street, Ticknall, Derby, DE73 7JZ

ref. DMPA/2024/0834 (relating to rendering) for Repair works to the existing roof, render and chimney breasts, the replacement of windows, erection of a new verandah and greenhouse and the installation of an electric car charging point with associated works at The Old Farmhouse, Hargate House Farm, Egginton Road, Hilton, DE65 5FJ
Refs: DMPA/2025/0428 (Major Development) Full planning application for public service infrastructure development comprising the erection of replacement two storey school buildings incorporating multiuse classrooms, specialist teaching spaces and community-use facilities. Multi use games areas, enhanced sports facilities, amphitheatre, habitat zones, vocational gardens, and designated areas for small animal care. Improved pedestrian and vehicular access arrangements.
Additional site infrastructure improvements including dedicated parking areas, bicycle and scooter storage facilities, and bin storage at Mercia Academy & Newhall Junior School, Sunnyside and Chesterfield Ave, Newhall, Swadlincote, DE11 0TL
Applications may be viewed at planning.southderbyshire.gov.uk or during working hours at the Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AH. Any comments must be made in writing, quoting the application reference number, within 21 days of the date of the publication of this notice (not including public holidays)
With the exception of application reference DMPA/2025/0428 which relates to Public Service Infrastructure Development and for which comments should be made in writing with 18 days of the of the date of the publication of this notice (not including public holidays) This notice is given in accordance with provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and/or associated subordinate legislation.
