What is planned?
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 - NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 13(1)(b)
Notice is hereby given that a cross-boundary application for outline planning permission (all matters reserved), relating to land within the Places for Everyone Joint Development Plan Northern Gateway Allocation Site (JPA1.1), is made to Bury Council and Rochdale Borough Council by:
Northern Gateway Development Vehicle LLP for the following description of development:
“Application for outline planning permission (all matters reserved) for a national-scale employment development, comprising Storage & Distribution (Use Class B8) and Industrial (Use Classes B2, E(g)(ii) and E(g)(iii)) uses (including, but not limited to, Logistics, Manufacturing Processes and Data Centres), with supporting ancillary uses including Hotel (Use Class C1), Commercial, Business & Service (Uses Class E(a-g)), Education (Use Class F1(a)), Local Community (Use Class F2(a-c) uses, Sui Generis uses (in accordance with the Uses Schedule), and associated demolition works, landscaping, drainage, ecological enhancements, highway works, cycleway and footpath linkages and other ancillary infrastructure”.
In Bury, the site is bordered by Brightley Brook, Pilsworth Fisheries, and Whittle Brook. In Rochdale, it is bounded by Pilsworth Road, Heywood Distribution Park, the M62 corridor, Moto Birch Services, and Whittle Fold Farm.
Any owner of the land (namely a freeholder or a person entitled to an unexpired term of at least seven years under a lease) who wishes to make representations to Bury Council or Rochdale Borough Council about the application should do so within 21 days of the date of publication of this notice to:
