Braunstone Lane - Planning Application For Development Management Procedure

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 (AS AMENDED)
DIRECTION MADE UNDER ARTICLE 4(1) TO WHICH SCHEDULE 3, PART 1 APPLIES

NOTICE is hereby given that Blaby District Council being the appropriate local planning authority have made a nonimmediate Article 4(1) Direction on the 20 March 2025, under the aforementioned Order.

The Direction applies to the development set out in the Schedule below and to 18 properties on Braunstone Lane, Braunstone Town, within the Braunstone Village Conservation Area, as shown edged red on the Plan in the Direction.

SCHEDULE
Development to which the Direction shall apply (specified by reference to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended):
- Enlargement, improvement or other alteration; any other alteration to the roof; the erection or construction of a porch outside any external door; hard surfaces incidental to the use of a house.
Being development comprised within Classes A, C, D & F of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Order and not being development comprised within any other class.
- The erection, construction, maintenance, improvement or alteration of a gate, fence, wall or other means of enclosure.
Being development comprised within Class A of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Order and not being development comprised within any other class.
- The painting of the exterior of any building or work. Being development comprised within Class C of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Order and not being development comprised within any other class.

The Direction shall come into force, if confirmed, on 24 March 2026.
