What is planned?
A wind farm for Cumnock and Doon Valley (Airds Hill Wind Farm) Public Exhibition
Airds Hill Wind Farm Limited is proposing to submit a planning application to East Ayrshire Council for a wind farm comprising up to 8 turbines with blade tip heights up to 250m, with an overall generating capacity of between 20MW - 50 MW and associated infrastructure. The proposed wind farm will be located on land 2.5km north of New Cumnock and 3km east of Cumnock (grid reference site centre: 263055, 617679)
OnPath Energy is hosting three public exhibitions to introduce and discuss the proposed development with the local community and interested stakeholders. This is an opportunity for you to share your views on what is important to you, your community and the local environment. Your feedback matters and will be taken into consideration in the design process.
The exhibitions will take place on:
- Tuesday 22 April between 12pm - 7pm at New Cumnock Bowling Club
- Wednesday 23 April between 12pm - 7pm at Logan Day Centre
- Thursday 24 April between 12pm - 6pm at Netherthird Community Centre
Members of the project team will be at each exhibition to answer any questions. We encourage all members of the community to attend and have their say.

All feedback/comments on the proposal should be received no later than Friday 16 May 2025.
Please note that comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to East Ayrshire Council and if the prospective applicant submits a planning application there will be an opportunity to make direct representation to East Ayrshire Councils Planning Department.
